Moen is a researcher at Nofima, Europe’s largest institute for applied research within the fields of food, fisheries and aquaculture. Relevant main research activities include microbiota studies in foods and food processing environments, and comparative genomic studies of food related bacteria. Part of this research includes studies on occurrence, reservoirs and risk factors of AMR in the food chain including resistance to both disinfectants and antibiotics. Recent activities involve phenotypic and genomic characterization of bacteria commonly encountered in the food/food environment with regard to resistance properties.
